I didn't hate this book but I'm not sure I loved it either. It was a little underwhelming for me personally in terms of the plot but the ending did make up for that. I liked the characters, they were mostly well-developed and I'd be interested in reading the next part of the story. Some of the wording in the spicy scenes did make me cringe a little, he was constantly "slurping" ... "drinking it down like a waterfall" and there was some mention of him "constantly leaking" whic

After reading the first book in the series, I couldn't not read the second one. I have to say that the plot line is greatly improved in this book and I loved that we revisit the characters from the first book and the two interconnect nicely. Overall an enjoyable read.

Basic plot, cute, well written and an enjoyable easy read. Not overly spicey but the spice that was in it was well done. Single dad trope. There wasn't a lot of development for the characters but it was an enjoyable read. I would have liked to see things expanded more into a longer novel but I am looking forward to reading the rest in the series.

For a short monster romance it's not terrible. There isn't too much of a plot in this one but it's half way there and it's written in the third person which took me a moment to get used to. Despite the basic plot, the character development was decent, especially considering it was a novella though I will say that the word 'folds' was over used when it came to the spicey scene. Also, suspend reality with this one as he goes down under to enjoy some sugar on his tongue.... with

I loved this, picked it up at Authors at the Armouries 2025 having only read one of Effie Campbell's books previously. She was so lovely and I wanted to read more of her work so picked up this delight. It was an absolutely fantastic read and she signed it for me too. I even got some fantastic artwork to go with the book, which only made the reading experience better in my opinion. I highly recommend you picking up this book and giving it a read if you like darker themes ... b
