Beth Walker is a British romance author who resides in Leeds with her two children and cat, Loki (the cat of mischief) who has become her third child.
Beth has been writing since she was thirteen years old, gaining a Bachelors degree in creative writing when she was twenty-three and hasn't stopped since.
With several (cringeworthy) manuscripts sitting unpublished on her hard drive that will never see the light of day, Beth continued to perfect her craft while being a mum to her daughter and then her son eight years later.
Beth self-published her debut novel Songbird in 2025 after writing it over the course of two years and finding the idea changing and evolving during the writing process into what is now the Increment Series.
In 2026, Beth gained her Master's degree in Social Work and now works in the field of Mental Health as a practicing Social Worker. It is this area of work that helps Beth to understand the complexity of her characters and the choices they make.
Beth openly admits to having ADHD and refers to his fondly as a spicy brain. She is unmedicated for this and faces challenges daily with what this means.
Beth continues writing around her work and raising her two children, she will occasionally commit to author events but these are carefully selected due to current time restraints and other commitments.

Statement Regarding AI Usage
AI is a highly emotive issue currently in the creative world and I want to make my stance on it clear.
As an author I stand with all my fellow creatives and do not, nor will I ever use any form of AI in my writing or as a tool in my work. I dedicate time, love and adoration into my novels and will continue to do so as writing is a passion of mine.
I create all my covers myself using Canva. I do not use their AI feature, however I do use their stock images. I heavily edit these for the purpose of designing my covers as I am quite the perfectionist when it comes to this. I am open and honest about this as I am not an artist, nor have I ever claimed to be. I pay for Canva Pro for the purpose of designing my covers.
As for artwork, I am not in a position in my writing career to pay for artwork. Currently I have a close friend and my daughter doing images that relate to my novels. As I am not paying for these I have no contract with the artists for them not to use AI when producing these images. With this in mind any artwork I am given for free is used for promotional content only on my social media channels until I have had time to verify that they are AI free.
Any artwork I have for sale on my website or any other shopping channels has been proven to be AI free and credit has been given to the artist in the description, I cannot guarantee this with any other pieces of art work I am using for promotional content.
I do not agree with the use of AI in any creative works and will never promote it's use in this space.
